Where to watch: Netflix

Would I watch it again? YES

Opinion: For some reason, I started watching this drama without much expectation, and by the very first episode, I was already hooked. This drama has a premise similar to “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty”—through a solar eclipse, the protagonist travels to a different era. Unlike in “Bon Appétit,” the protagonist here is stubborn and has a very strong personality that I loved; she doesn’t take any nonsense and gets into all sorts of fights to help those she loves, just like the male lead. I’ve never rooted so hard for such a mismatched couple to end up together—in this case, the two of them have that aloof “black cat” energy. Watching these two clash on screen is a lot of fun, and seeing them fall in love is enchanting. The series has 14 episodes that flew by, and the mystery of what happened in the Joseon era is very intriguing.

Final thoughts that may contain spoilers: It’s a very captivating drama, but I felt a little misled by the series’ ending; the fact that the female lead is actually from the present day annoyed me a bit, because if she was born and raised in the present, then traveled to the Joseon era, and then returned to the present, she would at least have to remember something upon returning home. I know it was a plot device the writers used to keep her there, but I felt a bit taken for a ride. Anyway, aside from that, the whole story is very good and worth watching again.
